The early stages of therapy bring up all the shit. When the shit doesn’t know where to land or how to be released it creates a blockage and this translates into anxiety symptoms and fear. This image relates to having children and how It’s impossible to feel connected with who you were before. Becoming a mother has wiped out all that was. Which part of ourselves does becoming a mother replace? There is a strong connotation of sexuality suggested here; a defective yonic funnel - the inability to feel sexual or sexually attractive now that the role of mother dominates. The colours represent the different parts of ourselves that suddenly feel inapplicable and unreachable in this new role. Read more about the Mental Health project here.
